I gave my granddaughter a sewing machine
for Christmas, and my son recently sent me an image
of her using it with her Mom.
I tried over and over to paint the scene
but I just couldn’t get her face right!
So I did a collage.

it is to paint the face of a loved one.
It’s so personal, and you know the face so well!
It will never be right!
Collage is becoming my favorite medium.
It teaches SIMPLICITY better than anything!
