Nancy will be teaching “Putting Fun into Painting” at the South Shore Art Center this fall
”Painting should be exciting and exhilarating, so this class will be FUN! By working quickly and intuitively, students will focus on loosening up, using more paint, and letting go of any fear. Through demos and informal discussions, the instructor will share everything she knows about oil painting techniques, with an emphasis on composition and the importance of correct values. Students will work from simple still life set-ups, using a limited palette and large brushes. At the end of each session, the class will share their work and thoughts. A working knowledge of the materials is recommended. Acrylic painters are welcome.”
